About Posts
The basics:
- Your requirement minimum is 5 posts per week. You can split it up however you want in the group.
- 1 post each week on what was learned in class and the personal/theme connection. Should explain what was learned in class, reflection on it regarding your theme and self, and some personal touch to it etc.
- 4 other posts of your own choosing, related to the topic, and with the accent of your theme
- Mr. Cole may assign as homework each week a posting assignment on a particular event or topic. This would cover one of the required weekly posts.
- Posts are to be more than simply links to articles. Posts are to include at least a paragraph and a picture (or 2 paragraphs)
- Remember your posts are to not be random but are connected to your theme. A blog is to be personable and should speak to your audience. Keep your humor or wit. Make it your own.
- Posts can include, but are not limited to:
- What you learned in class and how it relates to your theme
- Outside articles you found and what they are about
- Outside videos you found and what they are about
- Simple reflections or thoughts he had that relate to the topic
- Conversations you had with people and how they relate.
- Random ideas that connect.
- Remember your posts should be:
- helpful
- informative
- related to Catholic topic and the theme of your group in some way
- positive (no negative posts about what you have learned, the Catholic faith, or anyone else)
- Misunderstandings are fine, but the point is to explain the truth of Catholic Theology and help others to understand it, not simply to criticize.
- If you want to post about differences between some teaching currently discussed in class, fantastic, but make sure you are posting the fullness of what is learned (this is what the project is about)
- Be creative, and stay connected to the course material.
